Things are just going swell for NewBook and I am starting to flesh out the characters. I am also dabbling with artwork for the cover(can't wait to show you soon!) Next I am going to be working on locations, for validity, and I will be taking little field trips here and there to take photographs for the cover. Oh, did I tell you? This story will be based on Long Island! Stay tuned!

Well, I have dusted off my pens and papers and I am pages deep into my next novel, which I will refer to as "New Book" for the moment. Don't worry! I will eventually reveal the title(I already have it:-))most likely in a few months. I will be looking for beta readers, so keep an eye on my web site for the announcement. The most tedious part of writing this book so far has been the research, but it IS necessary. It involves interviewing people and obtaining information in an effort to provide as rich a reading experience as possible. So tomorrow I am off for my first 'field trip' to get the ball rolling! I am looking forward to it as I begin the outline of New Book.

Hi! My name is Erica and I am the author of a novel called "Survival Tactics". I'm also working on a new novel that will be released later this year(more on that later!)and I plan to blog about it as we move towards its release. I also own Gigi Cake Shoppe, which is operated out of a commercial kitchen.  My cake shop is named after my niece Gianna, to whom I am very, very close.  Even though she's about to turn eight, I am already training her on how to create beautiful cake decorations and she loves spending time with me, and I her. I will be blogging here regularly, as mentioned above, but I just wanted you to see the regular side of me when I am not hawking my book(lol).
