I have been very busy this summer! First, I announce my new book due out in late December, Code:PINK. I am very happy with the new cover for "Survival Tactics". It's bold, and I feel that it just grabs you. I am planning a cover for "Swept Away" which should be released within the next few weeks or so. It's a novella that precedes "Survival Tactics".  I am also doing a layout for my next novel that is being released this winter and I will announce it within the next month or so.

I am currently at work on a short story that is a bonus novella about Daphne's life right before she left Charlottesville, Virginia behind and how she and Evan got together. It will be on CreateSpace and Amazon for $0.99. If you've already read "Survival Tactics" then this will give you a deeper insight of the story's origin. Went on a field trip yesterday to take some photographs out on Long Island, since that is where my new book is taking place. It was a beautiful day for it and I am very happy with how the photos came out. I plan on using them for the new book trailer, so you'll have to wait a little bit to see them. Hi all! I held a contest during the book signing for Survival Tactics, in which the winner would receive a role as a minor character in NewBook. I have their paperwork, and I can let you know so far that this person is a female and will be somewhat of a sassy, no BS type! I am very excited about writing this character and I can't wait to let you know more about my new project later.

Things are just going swell for NewBook and I am starting to flesh out the characters. I am also dabbling with artwork for the cover(can't wait to show you soon!) Next I am going to be working on locations, for validity, and I will be taking little field trips here and there to take photographs for the cover. Oh, did I tell you? This story will be based on Long Island! Stay tuned!

Well, I have dusted off my pens and papers and I am pages deep into my next novel, which I will refer to as "New Book" for the moment. Don't worry! I will eventually reveal the title(I already have it:-))most likely in a few months. I will be looking for beta readers, so keep an eye on my web site for the announcement. The most tedious part of writing this book so far has been the research, but it IS necessary. It involves interviewing people and obtaining information in an effort to provide as rich a reading experience as possible. So tomorrow I am off for my first 'field trip' to get the ball rolling! I am looking forward to it as I begin the outline of New Book.

Hi! My name is Erica and I am the author of a novel called "Survival Tactics". I'm also working on a new novel that will be released later this year(more on that later!)and I plan to blog about it as we move towards its release. I also own Gigi Cake Shoppe, which is operated out of a commercial kitchen.  My cake shop is named after my niece Gianna, to whom I am very, very close.  Even though she's about to turn eight, I am already training her on how to create beautiful cake decorations and she loves spending time with me, and I her. I will be blogging here regularly, as mentioned above, but I just wanted you to see the regular side of me when I am not hawking my book(lol).
